What They Don’t Tell You About Blogging For Money
Howdy everyone, how are you guys doing? So this is the second part of What They Don’t Tell You About Blogging For Money. In the previous part, we talked about how Adsense and affiliate marketing can only pay off if you have a good amount of visitors. And how blogging is not just about writing content but also promoting your content on social media.
Today we are going to talk more about it. The first thing we are going to talk about is the content.
How Does Content Affect Blogging For Money?
Before starting to blog most people don’t know how they are going to produce content. If it’s a niche you have a lot of in-depth knowledge about, then you will have no problems in producing new content. But if you start a blog in a niche you like but don’t have a lot of data about then you will find it a little difficult to write blog posts.
One can say that some of the posts are common to all the sites in a particular niche. Like how to start a blog in the blogging niche. There are 10-15 or even more such posts in every niche. So you just need to rephrase and modify someone’s posts a little and you are good to go. Right? Wrong. What will you do when you run out of these kinds of posts?
You can’t just copy and paste someone’s journey or product review. That’s completely unethical and illegal. Copied content will bring you no traffic and will be removed from search engines.
So what can you do to find content? Use your brain. At first, it will be very difficult to come up with any new idea for content. Brainstorm for ideas, try to think in a creative way. What are the common problems in your niche? Try to solve them. Follow successful bloggers in your niche. Not for copying their content but to get a rough idea about what type of content sells and what kind of content is trending.
Get people to guest post on your website. Post on the social media groups that you are looking for people who are willing to guest post on your blog. In this way, you can get some new content fairly easily.
Or you can find a freelance writer to do it for you. You can hire people from Fiverr to write a blog post. A good writer will write a blog post for as low as 5$.
How Does Traffic Affect Blogging For Money?
Don’t expect your first blog post to get a huge amount of traffic that’ll make you an overnight success. Before beginning, blogging seems to be very easy. It feels as if you have to churn up a few articles every week and wait for the cash to start flowing. I know none of you guys reading this post will be under this impression, but if you are, you are wrong. Most of the newbies don’t focus much on keyword research. That includes me too(at the time of writing this blog post).
Seriously, I have put in 0 minutes of keyword research into this post and the ones before this. Let me be honest to you, for previous part of this blog post the keyword that I used for Yoast SEO analysis was blogging for money. Yes, the keyword and topic of the blog posts don’t even match. So let’s promise ourselves one thing today.
I promise to myself that I’ll do a keyword research of at least 30 minutes before I start writing a blog post.
How Do Themes Affect Blogging For Money?
For me, the most difficult thing about starting a blog was finding a theme. I came across this theme that I am currently using while writing this post. I don’t like it but I don’t dislike it either. When starting a blog most of us would have been a little tight on money. I was and am a little hesitant in spending money on paid themes. I will definitely buy a theme framework once I get the money to do so. Once you enable a theme you will see that your home page is far from what was advertised. That’s because you need to set up your theme.
Setting up a theme can feel a little difficult at first. You need to see where you have to use a certain element on your page. What elements to use and what not to. The best thing you can do is purchase a theme framework and customize your site. Most of the bloggers out there use the Genesis Framework.
Even though there are many difficulties on your path to becoming a great blogging success, never lose hope. Your blog is like a tree. Don’t expect any kind of fruit from it the first day. Nurture it, take care of it, love it and one day it’ll bear fruits.
If you like this post, then do share it with your blogger friends. I would also like to hear from you, the problems faced on your journey of blogging for money. And how you dealt with it.
See ya, bye-bye.
